Hey, thanks for your interest in joining! We welcome everyone – beginners to advanced cavers.
You do not have to be a dues-paying member to attend meetings.
Membership
Joining the Boston Grotto gives you an opportunity to learn about caves and participate in caving trips and other fun club activities. Members:
- Receive access to our digital caving library
- Receive a subscription to the Massachusetts Caver newsletter
- Access to Grotto gear loans & our gear cache
- Can vote in Grotto elections
Joining the Grotto
To join as a member, we require a payment of annual dues and a completed Application & Waiver.
Membership in the Boston Grotto costs $15 (see Membership Dues, below) per calendar year, expiring on December 31st. This can be paid through cash, check, or digitally our Treasurer. They can receive Venmo or Paypal; please contact us for info (not listed for privacy reasons).

Membership Dues
Membership in the Boston Grotto costs $15 per calendar year, expiring on December 31st. A pro-rated fee schedule applies: Jan-Apr is $15, May-Aug is $10, and Sept-Dec is $5. Additional family members living at the same address may join for $5 per year.
Membership dues are used to pay for website hosting, replace loaner gear and support Grotto exploration grants.
